Hi this is a tutorial about adding your School to the Directory

ver 0.8

note: all new Schools will need to be approved by a site administrator ( 24hrs )

note: if you need more options e.g. you need other martial arts style added or town, all you need to do is contact 1 of the site/forum administrators.

note: first you add the main school info and then you add the class info, school can have as many class added to it as needed

Before you start

1) please look to see if your School is already in the Directory

2) we think it would be best if it was an instructor that adds the school, but if you are not an Instructor in your school, tell them about this site so they can add it or get there permission to add your school.

3) the info that will be needed
  • School Name
  • Description of your School
  • Instructor
  • class address
  • contact no.
  • class times

4) other info that you can add
  • web site
  • email
  • fax
  • school logo (jpg only less than 200kb)
  • and more

and remember you can log back in at a latter date to update the info

Adding your school

1) after you have registered on this Forum, you can login to the main site www.nimaa.co.uk

2) after loging in use the link in the red bar Add/Edit Your School

note: for this tutorial we are using a user called "new user" so when you see the page it will have your user name and not "new user"

3) after you are on the next page, to start to add the school info use the "Add Your School" button

4) any bits of info with a red title are required and must be filled in

5) you can add a logo to the Directory for your School. (jpg files only, less than 200kb)

6) after all the School info has been added use the "Add School Info" button to confirm

7) then you will see some thing like the below image and that is the School added

Adding a Class to your school

1) after the School has been added, you will need to add a class to it, if there are no class's, the school will not show up in the Directory, the school can have multiple class's (as many as you need)

2) to add a class use the "add A class to ---------" Button, this will always be below the School info

3) Class Times can be a short sentence, so you can enter more then just basic time, you have a max of 100 characters, this means that it can be used for things such as if a class is going to start in the near future you can add a start date and time

4) after the info has been entered use the "Add Class Info" button to confirm and that is the class added

note: if you go back to edit a class, it will be mostly the same, except you will have another option called Class Status, by default this is set to open, only set this to close if you do not want the class to show up on the Directory
